Fireworks expected in Chefs meeting

Chef de Missions of various countries say the Organising Committee of the 14th Pacific Games in Noumea, New Caledonia have not kept their part of the bargain after all the promises made leading up to the opening last week.
This morning’s Chefs meeting at the Le Meridian is expected to be full of fireworks.
Chefs are complaining about transportation, meals, clear communication on daily programs and the list goes on, three days into the Games.

Robert Graham of the Cook Islands says they’ve had to make their own arrangements.
“Transportation is always very late and sometimes up to two hours. Even the Fijian team had to wait four hours.
“This is very frustrating, “said Graham who’s looking forward to today’s Chefs meeting.
The complaints have been raised by Samoa, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and other English speaking countries at these games.
Other teams have raised the issue of sport events having only French speaking judges and umpires.
