Thursday Ladies – Round 1

 

Better In Black V Sweaty Betty’s

Ct 1 – 8.50pm

With all the grading games complete, both ladies teams came out eager to officially start the season! With both teams showing determination to win, the game was an exciting match to watch. The shooting from the GS and GA was fantastic and their passes into the goal circle was outstanding by Sweaty Betty’s center. Well done to Sweaty Betty’s who won the match 24-18.

 

Bluebirds V Revolution Green

Ct 2- 8.50pm

There was some fantastic fight for the ball on court 2 tonight, both teams had fast and controlled passes to each other. The defenders where making it hard for the shooters to get into the goal circle getting plenty of intercepts. Well done to both teams which actually finished the match on a draw, 20-20!

 

Just Play Concords V Hip Hip Hooray

Ct 3- 8.50pm

It was a good match on court 3, as both teams had strong defenders which made it challenging for both teams. Neither teams gave up at any point during the game, getting in some awesome shots and passing the ball into the goal circle with perfect timing. Well done to Hip Hip Hooray who won the match 21-2!

 

The Eagles V The Dream Team

Ct 1- 9.30pm

Kicking off round 1 with a bang was The Eagles V The Dream Team who both came out with strong clean passes and skills which kept the game challenging! Well done to The Eagles who took away the win 23-16!

 

Envy V Charlotte’s Team

Ct 2- 9.30pm

Another close game, Envy and Charlotte’s team showed fantastic defense and pass overs the final score being 22-11. Well done to Envy for taking out the win!

 

Minties V Panthers

Ct 3- 9.30pm

It was great to see 2 strong teams go head to head again in round 1. With the stakes high to take out the first win, both teams showed strong tactics to regain the ball and take the winning shots. Well done to Minties who walked away with the win, 21-18!
