NETBALL RESULTS - ROUND 1 - Monday February 17

 

Blue Galaxies V Delicious

Ct 1- 6:30pm

Finally grading games have completed and all teams have come out strong. On court 1 tonight was a great game between two fast and competitive teams. The game from half time onwards kept at steady pace up and down the court. The goalers from Delicious were never missing as they won with a score of 33 to 13. Well done too Maddie Gleeson from team Delicious in being rewarded best on court.

 

 

Sac Scorchers V Decided 

Ct 2 - 6:30pm

Over on court 2 between both teams was a good game. Towards half time the ball was moving around both team which made the scores were very close. The defenders from both teams made it hard for both shooting ends to keep consistent which lead to both teams resulting in a draw, 18 all. Amazing efforts by both teams and in particular Sarah Gordon for being rewarded best on court.

 

Boom Shaka Laka V Gucci Gang

Ct 3 - 6:30pm

On court 3 tonight Boom Shaka Laka and Gucci Gang both came out with their all. The ball was moving up and down the court constantly. The GA and GS from Gucci Gang were scoring a goal streak. The game resulted in Gucci Gang winning with a score of 12 to 33. Well done to Michael Leslie for being rewarded best on court.

 

 

Sharks V Haileybury Hearts

Ct 1 - 7:10pm

Another awesome game on court 1 tonight to kick off the first round. At half time there was only a goal difference. The mid court for both teams played very strategically to get the ball down to the goals. Sharks won with a score of 31 to 24. Well done to Phoebe James for being rewarded best on court.

 

 

 

Black Diamonds V Dangerous Demons

Ct 2 - 7:10pm 

Amazing netball work that occurred on court 2 tonight. Both teams used dodging movements and loud voices to get the ball. Well done to Black Diamonds coming out with a win of 29 to 12 and Nadine Power for being rewarded best on court. 

 

 

6 + 1 V Resurrected 

Ct 3 - 7:10pm

Another round 1 starts on court 3 tonight. Both teams came out with a bang to begin the game. Many intercepts happened which helped the teams bring up the scores against the opposition. 6 + 1 won with a score of 38 to 12, absolutely smashed in. Well done to Carmel Mckenzie for being rewarded best on court.

 

 

Clappers V Gadgets

Ct 1 - 7:50pm

A great game between Clappers and Gadget tonight on court 1. Both teams fought really hard to win tonight, however maintained their sportsmanship throughout the entire game. Well done to Clappers for working together as a team extremely well and winning the game with a final score of 36 to 16. Congratulations to Marie Landini from Clappers for being awarded best on court.

 

 

Longshots V Sapphires

Ct 2 - 7:50pm

Tonight on court 2 was another very close game to start the first rounds this week. Longshots took the lead at quarter time with a score of 7 points to 3. After half time, Sapphires managed to fight back a little harder and take the lead, winning the game with a score of 23 goals for Sapphires to 17. Well done to Karen Farrell from Sapphires for being awarded best on court.

 

NO IDEA V Come on!

Ct 3 - 7:50pm

Great game on court 3 tonight between Come on! and Sapphires. Both teams played very well throughout the entire game. NO IDEA took the lead in the first quarter and managed to maintain their skills, taking the win. Congratulations to both teams for a great first game back after grading and to Anthony Chye from NO IDEA for being awarded best on court. The final score was 23 goals for NO IDEA and 19 goals for Come on!.

 

 

Moorabbin Rams V Shamrocks

Ct 1- 8.30pm

A very close game on court one tonight! Both team played very well and demonstrated a high level of netball skills throughout the entire game. Congratulations to both teams for making it such an entertaining and high scoring game. Well done to Moorabbin Rams for taking the win with a final score of 37 to 33 and to Ashleigh Walker from Moorabbin Rams for being awarded best player on court.

 

 

Just Play Fever V Mums On Fire

Ct 2- 8.30pm

Well done to both teams on their efforts in tonight game between Just Play Fever and Mums On Fire. The scores were even at quarter time but Just Play Fever couldn’t hold on until the end of the game. Well done to Mums on Fire for winning the game with a score of 28 goals to 21. Best on court was awarded to Casey O’Keefe from Mums On Fire.

 

 

gerg V The Opposition

Ct 3- 8.30pm

A very competitive game on court three tonight between gerg and The Opposition. Although The Opposition tried their best to gain possession of the ball, gerg’s netball skills were just too strong! Congratulations to both teams on their efforts and to gerg for winning the game with a score of 33 to 8. Best on court was awarded to Jarrah Thomson from gerg

 

 

Ladybirds V Hoopsters

Ct 1- 9.10pm

Well done to both teams for a great game tonight on court 1. Both teams demonstrated great sportsmanship throughout the whole game, which made it very entertaining to watch. Ladybirds took the lead at half time and managed to hold on until the end of the game. Well done to Ladybirds for winning with a final score of 26 to 19 and to Kellie Dean from Ladybirds for being awarded best on court.

 

 

Nets Top Models V Glen Eira Gryphons

Ct 2- 9.10pm

With the grading games complete, we were set for a very competitive game tonight between Nets Top Models and Glen Eira Gryphons. Both teams demonstrated great netball skills, with Glen Eira Gryphons taking the lead at half time. Well done to both teams for to Nets Top Models for winning the game with a very close score of 19 to 18 goals for Glen Eira. Best on court was awarded to Grace Brauman from Nets Top Models.

 

 

SCHNOZ V #NetballFacts

Ct 3- 9.10pm

A fantastic game on court 3 tonight , with both teams eager to win. Amazing play by both teams, putting up a fight unti the very last second of the game. SCHNOZ won with a score of 22 goals to 14. Good job. Well done to Thomas Manalack from SCNHOZ for being rewarded best on court.

 

 

Sweaty Nettys V South Suns

Ct 1- 9.50pm

Another close game between Sweaty Nettys ad South Suns. South Suns were super quick at their passes into the goal circle, but Sweaty Nettys’ defence was just too strong! Well done to Sweaty Nettys for winning the game with a score or 30 to 26, and to Lulu Witts from Sweaty Nettys for being awarded best on court.

 

Net Ninjas V BM’s

Ct 2- 9.50pm

Well done to Net Ninjas and BMs for playing a very fast and entertaining game tonight! Net Ninjas started off strong, with a score of 6 at quarter time. Unfortunately it was not enough to hold on until the end of the game! Congratulations to BM’s for winning the game with a final score of 22 to 17 and to Ellen Fry from BM’s for being awarded best on court.

 

 

Here If You Need V 3rd times the charm

Ct 3- 9.50pm

There was a great game on court 3 tonight, just after grading with both teams eager to take the first win of the season! Both teams had great defenders, making it tough for the ball to be passed at the center whistle. Here If You Need were only slightly stronger and managed to take the lead at half time. Congratulations to both teams and to Olivia Farrar for being awarded best on court. The final score was 11 for Here If You Need and 7 for 3rd Times A Charm.
