NETBALL RESULTS - ROUND 3 – Monday March 2

 

 

The Opposition V Nets Top Models

Ct 2 - 6:30pm

Some amazing netball that occurred tonight on court 2 with our mixed comp. It was a good match as both of the teams had strong defenders which made it challenging to score a streak. Over all The Opposition won with a score of 20 to 12. Congrats too Joel Rayside for being awarded best on court.

 

3rd times the charm V Glen Eira Gryphons 

Ct 3 - 6:30 pm

A great game tonight between these two teams as everyone on court fought for the ball. The scores throughout the whole game remained really close as each center pass would go straight to the goals. The game ended evenly as both teams scored 20. Both teams are winners! Best on court was awarded to Thomas Hungerford from 3rd times the charm, well done.

 

Delicious V Gadgets

Ct 1 - 7:10pm

Well done to both teams for a great game tonight on court 1. Delicious played really hard in the first quarter, taking the lead with 10 goals ahead. Delicious continued to keep scoring nonstop, the other team Gadgets tried their best to stop them! Overall the score was 36 to 12 which mean Delicious won but best on court was awarded too Jessica Hadley from Gadgets.

 

 

Net Ninjas V Just Play Fever

Ct 2 - 7:10pm

Another fun game on court 2 tonight! The mid court for both teams played widely and with speed collected the ball straight to their goals. Both teams were very eager to get goals so would pass back and forth till the shooters distance from the goals was easy enough to shoot the ball in. Awesome job to Net Ninjas with winning with a score of 10 to 2. A special shoutout to Alana Kontaxias for being awarded best on court.

 

Black Hearts V Sportsball 

Ct 3 - 7:10pm

Our mixed div 1 game tonight on court 3 is always entertaining to watch. Both defenders and attackers pushed their way through to shoot and defend the ball. The ball would fly across the court as these players have skill-full throwing techniques. The match ended with a score of 22 to 19 making Black Hearts take home this win. Great effort to Stephanie Poynton for being awarded best on court.

 

 

Ladybirds V Longshots

Ct 1 - 7:50pm

A very close game of netball tonight on court one between Ladybirds and Longshots. Both teams played amazingly well, putting up a fight until the end of the game. Ladybirds fought back in the third quarter having strategic placements of the ball from the circle, but was just not enough! Well done to both teams for a very exciting game that ended in a draw with 21 goals each! Congratulations to Larissa Jephcott from Ladybirds for being awarded best on court.

 

Hoopsters V Sapphires 

Ct 2. - 7:50pm

Good team work from both teams on court two. Hoopsters really put up a good fight to get back in the lead but didn’t just get there in the end. The shooting from both teams improved throughout the game with few shots where missed by the end of the game. Well done to Sapphires for winning with a final score of 32 to 11 and to Carolyn Fern from Sapphires for being awarded best on court.

 

 

#NetballFacts V Dimma Dawgs 

Ct 3 - 750pm

There was some fantastic rebounds, intercepts and goals on court 3. Both teams kept the ball on court, collecting the loose balls or hitting the ball in to avoid throw ins. The attackers from both teams played strategically and were scoring from long which was amazing to watch! Well done to Dimma Dawgs for winning with a score of 14 to 12 and to Charles Newman from Dimma Dawgs for being awarded best on court.

 

 

Dangerous Demons V BM’s 

Ct 1. - 830pm

A fun game to watch on court 1 tonight. Both Dangerous Demons and BM’s played with great sportsmanship as well as displaying great netball skills. During the first quarter, Dangerous Demons were feeding the ball strongly into the goal area to take the lead. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough for to win as BM’s were too strong, winning with a score of 23 to 5. Great job to Lauren Ryan from BM’s for being awarded best on court.

 

Gerg V Come on!

Ct 2 - 8:30pm

Another mind blowing game on court 2 within the mixed comp between gerg and Come On!. The ball was thrown with such power down the court from both teams which made the game very exciting! Both teams had very similar skills with their defenders and shooters, causing the end result to be a draw with 16 points each. Well done to both teams for a great game of netball and to Jackson Meredith from gerg for being awarded best on court.

 

 

Gucci Gang V SCHNOZ

Ct 3 - 8:30pm

There was some fantastic fight on court 3 tonight, both teams were eager to hunt the ball. During the first half the defenders were making it hard for the shooters to get the ball in the circle. This pushed the shooters to dodge and work their way around the court to get the ball in the ring. After a very tight game, Gucci Gang won with a score of 26 goals to 25 and well done to Zoe Lees for being awarded best on court.

 

 

Moorabin Rams V Sweaty Netty’s

Ct 1- 9:10pm

A very fun game of netball tonight between Moorabbin Rams and Sweaty Netty’s. Both teams seemed to be having a great time on the court, making it very enjoyable to watch. Moorabbin Rams were just too strong tonight, with their smart passes out of the center circle and strong defenders, taking the win with a score of 40 to 24 points for Sweaty Netty’s. Well done to both teams and to Dakota Thomson from Moorabbin Rams for being awarded best on court.

 

Sac Scorchers V Queens of Tucker 

Ct 2 - 9:10pm

A great game tonight between Sac Scorchers and Queens of Tucker. The scores were relatively even through the whole game, with only one point difference at half time. After an intense half time discussion, Queens of Tucker found the strength and motivation to win the game with a score of 20 to 15. Well done to both teams and to Michelle Pavier from Queens of Tucker for being awarded best on court.

 

Here If You Need V 6 + 1

Ct 3 - 9:10pm

Well done to Here If You Need and 6 + 1 tonight on a great game of netball. While 6 + 1 had a great eye for judging where the ball was going to go, Here If You Need was too strong as a team and their shooters had great accuracy. Well done to 6 + 1 for putting up a fight and to Here If You Need for winning with a score of 28 goals to 17. Congrats to Sam Macgregor from Here If You Need for being awarded best on court.

 

Minx V Haileybury Hearts

Ct 1 - 9:50pm 

A great game tonight between Minx and Haileybury Hearts. The scores started off close with only 3 goals difference at quarter time. Not knowing what would happen next, it was exciting to see Minx come out of the half time break with stronger defence and smarter offence. Well done to both teams and to Minx for winning with a score of 28 goals to 8. Best on court was awarded to Danielle Forward.

 

Clappers V Blue Galaxies 

Ct 2 -9:50pm

Well done to both teams for a great game tonight between Clappers and Blue Galaxies. Clappers were running so fast on the court and were great with their interceptions, but Blue Galaxies worked really hard as a team to score more goals. Well done to Blue Galaxies for winning with a score of 26 to 23 Congratulations to Ella Hayden from Blue Galaxies for being awarded best on court.

 

Black Diamonds V Ball Breakers

Ct 3 - 9:50pm

There was a very close game on court one tonight between Black Diamonds and Ball Breakers. Both teams fought hard from the start of the game, demonstrating great netball skills. Well done to both teams for playing a very exciting game tonight, drawing with a final score of 25 goals each! Congratulations to Helen Verrios for being awarded best player on court.
