Note to All KCVA Club Secretaries and KCVA Committee
AGM 2014: Wednesday 30th July, 8 p.m. sharp
If you are no longer the secretary for your club, will you please pass this message on to someone else within your club for their attention.
I will be sending a separate note, shortly, in connection with a proposal for Individual Memberships with Volleyball England for non-National League players, to be tabled at the VE AGM on 26th July. It is a very important message, so please make the time to read it – each affiliated club is entitled to one vote on the proposal. It is important that you vote as the proposal has a financial implication for your club, and will impact how you run your club, if accepted.
This note is to inform you of this year’s AGM, to be held at The Spitfire pub in King’s Hill – I have booked the ‘Observation Room’, which is a private room at the top of the building.
The room is available from 7.30pm, but please can you all try to arrive by 7.45 pm so we can ensure a prompt start at 8 p.m.. If anyone requires directions, please let me know.
It will save us a bit of time on the evening if you can make time to review the attachments to this e-mail ahead of the AGM. Table of attachments set out below:

You will probably remember that Volleyball England Affiliation runs to a different cycle, now, expiring at the end of July. Given that there are insurance benefits, mailings, etc to be gained from affiliation, please ensure that you organise your own club affiliation direct with VE, and let me have a copy of the certificate provided by VE (scanned and e-mailed is fine, thank you). Alternatively, if you complete the affiliation online, you can take a screenshot of the screen which confirms that the fee has been paid, and email it to me – that will be much quicker as the paper certificate takes quite a long time to come through from VE. Kent League teams must, of course, be affiliated to VE before they can participate in Kent Competitions.
As ever, please remember that each Club must be represented at the AGM. Ideally, we would like each Team to be represented.
If there is anybody who wishes to raise a specific Agenda item, please let me know as soon as possible, in writing.
I look forward to seeing you all on 30th July.
Ian Ruddock
Secretary, Kent County Volleyball Association
