Thank You!

Dear WABL Parents and Players,

BWA has been working tirelessly on the fixtures and court plans for the 2015 season, as you can only imagine fixturing for the new structure makes for an extremely difficult task which has presented a number of challenges along the way, and has caused some delays.

The new structure requires us to fixture every venue every week separately and we have been presented with venue availability issues, team clash issues, enabling links with SBL, teams withdrawing at late notice and many other problems which have been out of our control.

Our competition staff at BWA are very passionate about the WABL competition and basketball in this state, which is why they have worked so hard on getting the fixtures as logistically sound and accurate as possible to make it convenient for everyone involved.

While we were under no illusions this transition to graded games was going to be difficult for everyone including parents, players, referees, coaches, administrators and BWA staff, we feel it is a necessity for our competition to ensure our players are being developed at the appropriate level and that we are catering for the growth in our sport.

We have completed all court plans for 2015, however we are being very cautious on ensuring there are no errors and are working through checking every game at every venue. These will be released as soon as possible.

On behalf of the BWA staff, we would like to thank all of the parents and players who have been so patient and understanding in this regard.

We have had so much support from so many people in regards to this positive change to our competition and it has made the transition much easier with the everyone's cooperation.

We look forward to the season starting on April 26 and hope it is smooth sailing for the year ahead.

Kind Regards,

Basketball WA Management
