Dinsdale New Strikers CEO

Brisbane Strikers have appointed experienced football administrator Bruce Dinsdale as the club’s new Chief Executive Officer.

The newly defined role is a result of Strikers’ assessment of their off-field operations and a response to the increased administrative professionalism required of all PlayStation® 4 National Premier Leagues clubs.

Dinsdale previously served as Operations Manager at Football Queensland and General Manager at Football Brisbane and takes over administrative duties formerly performed by Strikers Chairman Bruce Atterton-Evans.

Atterton-Evans will continue in the role of Chairman but explained his role will change in order to improve and enchance relationships at all levels of the clubs operations.

“There are some things in the administrative CEO role that are time-consuming and can distract you from the bigger picture items,” Atterton-Evans said.

“I will be stepping back from the administration and continuing as a Director of the football club, along with other board members, to ensure that both the football and administration sides of the club stay on track with our desired philosophies.”

“I’ve known Bruce for a long, long time as everyone in (local) football has, through Football Brisbane and Football Queensland,” Atterton-Evans said.

“He has been administering competitions in football for a long time and left Football Queensland earlier in the year.  We’ve been thinking about it and thought the time was right to see if he was interested in continuing at club level.”

Dinsdale began in the new role last week and said he was excited by the opportunity.

“I jumped at the opportunity to work with the Strikers and contribute to the administrative and operational sides of the club to go with their successes on the field,” he said.

“It is a great time to be involved in football in Australia and I look forward to ensuring Strikers continue to be at the forefront of club and player management.”

“I am sure I will be able to bring much of what I have learnt whilst in football administration to go with the foundations that the Strikers have already established,” Dinsdale concluded.
