AFL Canberra Milk Junior League Grand Finals Results

All of the AFL Canberra Milk Junior League grand finals were held on the weekend at both Manuka Oval and Kingston Oval. All teams involved should be very proud of their efforts as the sportsmanship and competitiveness across all age groups was great.

The under 12 grand final at Kingston was between the Tuggeranong Lions and the Belconnen Cats. It was a great game as both teams played in true grand final spirit. However the Tuggeranong Lions had a great first half which set them up with a strong lead. The final score was Tuggeranong Lions 7-2-44 to Belconnen Cats 4-1-25. Best on ground was awarded to Adam Lamb from the Belconnen Cats.

The under 14 Division 2 grand final was another game that was played with great spirit. Both St Edmunds Blue and the Weston Creek Wildcats displayed some great skills and it was not a game that was easily won. The final score was Weston Creek Wildcats 7-7-49 to St Edmunds Blue 10-10-70. Best on ground was awarded to Timothy Clowry from St Edmunds Blue.

The under 14 Division 1 grand final was yet another display of the great Australian Football talent the ACT has. Both the Belconnen Cats and the Tuggeranong Hawks put in great efforts. However as it has been all year, the Belconnen Cats were too strong. The final score was Belconnen Cats 20-16-136 to Tuggeranong Hawks 3-8-26. Best on ground awarded to Christopher Jansen of the Belconnen Cats.

The under 16 division 2 grand final was a close contest in the first half with both teams showing why they were the teams in the grand final. The under 16 division 1 grand final was another display of terrific skills and fast football. With almost the same number of shots on goal, it was Belconnen’s accuracy that won them the premiership.
