NAB CUP GAME AT MANUKA OVAL!
It has been announced that Canberra has secured a 2010 NAB Cup game. Manuka Oval will host the action packed round 1 game, on February 14 2010, between the Western Bulldogs and the Brisbane Lions. Both teams have recently announced changes to their forward lines and have each announced the trade of high profile players into their sides.
The clash at Manuka Oval may see Barry Hall take the field for the first time as a Western Bulldog. According to Jennifer Witham (westernbulldogs.com.au), Coach Rodney Eade states that Hall's primary role will be to "fit in" with the Dogs' existing attacking structure, rather than dominate it. Eade believes that having Hall as a Bulldog is a great result as Hall brings to the group more than just his playing ability, but his experience.
This blockbuster may also see Brendan Fevola debut as a Brisbane Lion. Fevola’s move from Carlton to the Brisbane Lions will see the Lion’s with a dangerous forward combination as Fevola teams up with Lions captain Jonathan Brown.
Come out to Manuka Oval to see this action packed clash.
