Round 3 of the AFL Canberra First Grade season saw the trend of heavy defeats continue. Queanbeyan got themselves back on the winners list at Gungahlin Enclosed Oval on Saturday afternoon after they piled on 21 goals to run over the Jets.

Coach Kade Klemke was again among the Tigers best along with young forward Matthew Grocott who continued his excellent start to the season. Alex Page also provided a great target for the Tigers booting four majors and earning himself his first appearance in team of the week this year.
Defensive duo James Noble and Alex Birch did their best in defence for the Jets whilst midfielder Jordan Iudica battled hard in the midfield all day.
The result wasn’t much closer on the other side of Canberra as Tuggeranong continued on their winning way running out 130 point victors against Eastlake.
Captain Lachlan Monger worked well through the midfield all day as did Ben Symons who continued his fantastic start to 2015. Dave smith provided the Hawks with plenty of run across half back whilst forward trio Ashley Pocock, Nathan Costigan and Mal Fernie combined for 16 goals.
Eastlake experienced another tough outing with Simon O'Brien a standout for a Demons side who will be hoping to carry some of their second half form into next week.
Sunday saw old rivals Ainslie and Belconnen meet for the first time in 2015. The game looked set to be a tight affair with Ainslie leading by three points at quarter time, however after then Belconnen took complete control running away with the game to win by 11 goals.
The regular suspects did the damage for the Magpies with full forward Chris York booting nine majors to make it 20 in two weeks and small forward Dom Bunyan adding another four goals to his tally to take him to 14 for the season. Ryan Turnbull continued his good form in the midfield with good support coming from young magpie pair Isaac Taylor and Luke Wharton.
Young Ainslie ruckman Matthew Boak and defender Reuben Haupt both tried hard for Ainslie all day, while former Belconnen Midfielder Lachie Harper amassed plenty of possessions against his old club.
