In a game that took the competition to a new level at Kedron on Sunday when Wynnum took out the 2009 premiership. Both teams went neck and neck for the first half with only five points separating them at the long break. Wynnum were playing the better football in the third quarter but could not put Alex Hills to the sword, as the Bombers answered every challenge. The last quarter was always going to be an arm wrestle, The Vikings were up by sixteen points with about five minutes to go , then the Bombers kicked two quick goals to bring the lead back to four points, the Vikings defended stoutly to hold Alex Hills out to win by four points.
In the early game Caloundra took out the premiership in Reserve grade. This game also went down to the wire with both teams not far apart for the whole game. Alex Hills led all day to go down by 20 points to a fast finishing Caloundra.
