LAUTOKA BASKETBALL ASSOC. TO START WITH A BANG

Good News for the Lautoka fans! The Lautoka Association is having their opening of basketball this Saturday with a Bang. The AOG Youth band is going to open the competition with a big bang and music to entertain the players and spectators.

Eight men’s teams and four women’s teams are participating in the competition and players are eager to get the comp going. Simione the secretary of Lautoka Basketball Association mentioned all are geared up and there is a team from Nadi who will taking part in the competition.

Basketball Fiji President Mr. Iowane Naivalurua will be the Chief Guest at the opening and he is looking forward to traveling to the West. At 9.00am there will be a manger’s meeting and then the official opening.

Basketball Fiji congratulates Lautoka and wishes them all the best in their competition.

U18 Basketball League

The Raiwaqa Basketball Players Association will be hosting an U18 Basketball Tournament for both boys and girls which will run from the 4th May - 8th June 2013. Intersted teams or players looking to join a club is to contact Mereleni Waqairawai on 9337434
