The coaching clinic was conducted by national women's coach Michael Whippy.

LBA president Simi Cagilaba said many players turned up for the clinic. He said LBA was determined to raise the profile of the sport in the Sugar City.

"We are thankful to Michael for taking his time out to help us with the coaching clinic," Cagilaba said.

"We hope to conduct more coaching programs in the future."

"The focus next week will shift to the confederacy tournament. This event will serve as a test run for us as for the National Club Championship that we will host on December 12. The confederacy tournament will be similar to the National Club Championship."

The LBA will hold a referee's clinic on December 4-5.

This will start at 9am daily at the multi purpose courts.
