Shaq Attack, Saints remain unbeaten

SHAQ Attack and Saints continue to set the pace in the men's grade of the Suva Laucala Basketball Association league. Both sides are unbeaten after three rounds of competition and will be meeting in round four on Saturday. Led by national reps Lai Puamau, David Whippy, Sikeli Mara and Adrian Bossley, Shaq Attack downed Air Iguana 45-30 on Tuesday at the Vodafone Arena while Jesse Sikivou's Saints thrashed Pitbulls 79-24. Suva Laucala Basketball Association league co-ordinator and national team captain Leonard Whippy said competition would run until the Easter Championship in early April. "So far the competition has been very encouraging. We have started the Suva league with seven men's and four women's teams. "The men's teams are expected to play about 10 games before the Easter Championship," Whippy said. Golden Bati is the top team in the women's grade. The side is unbeaten after notching wins over Knights and Masters in the opening two rounds.
