LAI LAYS DOWN THE LAW

Coach Puamau has two of his team overseas, Martin Liebregts in Holland and Waymann Whippy in New Zealand and so has two of his reserves in Lyndon Liebregts and Jonasa Ryder filling in during these weekly games at the ISS new gym.

In the first game the Youth Team went down by just 1 point against a slightly depleted senior team, however in this weeks game the National Men's Team did not dare come with less than a full compliment of available players, less they got beaten by the Youth.  The Youth Team battled well for the first 3 quarters, outscoring the seniors in 2 of these quarters, but in the final quarter the seniors took charge and showed the youngsters how it is done by piling on 10 unanswered points to run out winners by 8.

These Wednesday night games are giving the Youth team much needed match practice and combined with games each Friday against the USP team, the boys are starting to show some signs of team cohesion.

Next Wednesday will be the last of the games between the Youth and the Seniors and both teams will want to end on a high.  The Youth Team will end its preparation on Saturday 20th September to allow for a week of recovery and trying to peak right on time for the OYT commencing in Guam on the 28th of September.
