Saturday 14/03/2015 Semi Final Wrap Up

3.30pm U18 Girls Noosa (1) vs Ipswich (4)
This game was always going to be a solid contest. Noosa was slow out of the blocks in the first and second quarters but then everything began to click. With solid defence and better shooting in the 3rd quarter Noosa had secured a handy lead to take into the 4th. Maintaining and increasing the lead Noosa had the game secure. A big highlight and crowd pleaser was a last second three pointer from Tori Cardamone to put the icing on the cake and the drowd to their feet to see them into the grand final. Final Score Noosa 74 Ipswich 58. Thanks to all the crowd who turned up and to our referees Fiona Allen and Xander Evans

Noosa U18 Girls will take on Brisbane Capitals in Brisbane at 6.00pm

5.00pm U12 Boys Noosa (1) vs Northside (4)
Noosa having played Northside last week, and winning, knew what they were up for in this game. Northside had 2 very tall bigs that looked they were going to dominate the keyway the entire game. This however was not the case and Noosa led from start to finish. With great team work and passing Noosa remains the dominate team in this age group and division. Next week will be a hard battle against arch rivals Redlands. Final Score Noosa 57 Ipswich 40. Thanks to all the very vocal crowd who turned up and to our referees Xander Evans and Tayla Thomas.

Noosa U12 Boys will take on Redlands in Brisbane at 12.00pm

6.30pm U18 Boys Noosa (1) vs Gold Coast (4)
This was always going to be a tight game! Noosa held it with the Gold Coast up until the 3rd quarter. From there the Gold Coast managed to take the 3rd quarter and had established a handy lead of 5 points going into the 4th. Noosa fought hard and managed to take the game into overtime. Overtime 1, Overtime 2 and now Overtime 3 Noosa made critical stops and converted points to take the win. Final Score Noosa 85 Gold Coast 72. Thanks to all the very vocal crowd who turned up and to our referees Fiona Allen and Meg Meldrum.

Noosa U18 Boys will take on Cabooluture in Brisbane at 10.00am

AWAY 3.30pm U14 Boys Noosa (4) vs Toowoomba (1)3

Playing as the underdogs, Noosa was out to show they had nothing to lose.  Noosa's defence held the game tight right to the end, with 4.2 seconds left on the clock and an even score of 62-62, we all held our breaths whilst Toowoomba had the advantage with 2 points to shoot - Missing both, the game went to overtime.  Noosa ran away with the ball gaining a position in the finals with a 71 - 64 win. 

 Noosa U14 Boys will take on Northside in Brisbane at 2.00pm
