Melbourne Sports Institute provides coaches and umpires to schools throughout Melbourne for their interschool competitions and are currently seeking netball umpires for private school competitions in Melbourne in order to accommodate the winter season.
Their matches take place during afternoons (generally commencing either 1.30pm or 4pm) on all week days.
Locations include areas such as: Camberwell, Keysborough, Altona, Tyabb, Ringwood, Box Hill, Donvale, Beaconsfield, Noble Park, Pakenham, Lilydale, Cranbourne, Bentleigh, Berwick, Burwood, Greenvale, Blackburn, Templestowe, Nunawading, Toorak, Balwyn, South Yarra, Heidelberg, Coburg, Ivanhoe, Canterbury, Melton, Keilor, Box Hill plus many others across Melbourne.
You do not necessarily need to be badged, umpires with a sound knowledge of the game would be suitable for some lower level positions. It is of course preferred and an advantage if you are badged and have strong past experience.
Umpires are paid at a highly competitive rate of $30 per game which can go up depending on location and level of play. This payment is made via direct debit.
