Country Rugby League is calling for expressions of interest for participants in a Level 2 Coaching Course.
What: Level 2 coaching course
When: 16th – 18th November 2012
Location: Red Bend College, Forbes
Prerequisite: Candidates must have had current Level 1 club coaching certificates for at least 12 months.
Bidgee Region participants are asked to submit

Men of League Riverina Branch will be conducting a Wagga Gold Cup Breakfast as part of the 2012 fundraising campaign. Please see attachment for details. If you could also let those Rugby League contacts you have know of the event it would be a great help.
Due to a lack of interest in the proposed Sports Trainers Course (First Aid) that was to be held on Saturday and Sunday the 24th & 25th of March, the course has been cancelled.
f there is sufficient interest another course will be offered at the conclusion of the 2012 season.

ATTENTION ALL RIVERINA RUGBY LEAGUE CLUBS:
Due to the floods in our region at the moment, and the problems this is causing with travelling around the region, the decision has been made to postpone the Coaching Courses that were set to be held this weekend in both Griffith on Saturday the 10th and in Wagga on Sunday the 11th. Both the mini/mod and international courses will be postponed.
The following dates have been decided as the new dates for these coaching courses:
- Wagga Modified Games Coach course, Sunday the 25th of March.
- Wagga International Games Coach course, Sunday the 25th of March.
- Griffith Modified Games Coach course, Sunday the 1st of April.
- Griffith International Games Coach course, Sunday the 1st of April.
Venues for these dates will be sent out as we confirm the availability of the venues. The starting times will remain at 9am for all courses.
Could you please pass this information on to anyone you think this may effect.
Once agian in 2012, the Mortimer shield will be held in term 2. The Mortimer shield is a year 5 and 6 boys rugby league and girls league tag competition held annually in the riverina. For those schools that are interested please go to the Mortimer Shield section of our website.
Coming up in March will be a Level 1 ARL First aid Officers Course. The venue for the two day course has not been confirmed but more details will be available soon. For those interested, click the more link for further details
There will be a series of Coaching Courses held in the Riverina this year. The first will be at Griffith on the 10th March at the Griffith Leagues Club starting at 9am on this day there will be a Modified Games Course (7-12 yrs) and and International Games Course (13yr +) held at the same time. The next day in Wagga on the 11th March MGC and IGC courses will be held at McDonalds Park also starting at 9am. To register follow the more link and download a Registration form...
The Riverina Academy is in full swing at the moment with 40 players from around the region having been part of an induction day and two day camp at Yanco Ag Highschool. for a full list of the Academy Squad follow the more link. This year seen the introduction to the Trent Barrett Medal awarded to those who were seen as the player of the final. This year this award was given to Will Reinhold from St Annes Temora and Andria Zanotto from Griffith North.
Griffith North have defeated Griffith Public School in the grand final at Paramore Park today to claim the title of Trent Barrett League Tag 2011 winners. Along the way Griffith North defeated Trinity Harden, St Joseph's Leeton and South Wagga. They remained undefeated all day in this tough competition.
