Please note that the touring Under 13 and 14 Representative sides will be announced on Thursday.  Please remember that there is a parent evening on Thursday Evening at Briggs Road, this session is the best way to keep informed about the requirements of the players and  the expectations of being an IJRL representative player.  Could you please ensure that you bring a plate of food for a light supper after the evening? 

Please also not that the payment of the Representative Levies for successful players has now been extended until Friday 20/04/2012.

To all parents the Maitland bus is on track for arriving at Briggs road at 9.30pm

FOr all those parents who are on the Maitland Tour with the boys ( and Girl) , the Under 11 and 12 games this evening have been brought forward 15 minutes.  This will see the 11's play at 6:15 and the 12's at 7pm.  We hope that both teams can bring home the trophy.

Congratulations to the Under 14 Children who have been chosen in the Representative Team.  Please note the first Training is at 5:30 this Thursday @ Briggs Road.

Congratulations to the following player who have been picked in the 2012 Under 13 Diggers Rep Side.  Training will begin on Thursday 5th April at the Briggs Road sporting Complex.  Traingin will be from 5:30 - 7pm.  Please ensure that each child is at training on time as there is limtied traing sessions before our first trail game.  Each child will be handed an information and consent package at the first training session it is essential that these are handed to the IJRL office as soon as possible.  IF you are unable to make training please contact Tony Martin on 0415 639 437.

Please note that this weeks Maitland Training will be held at the earlier time of 5pm at the North Ipswich Reserve ( IRL Grounds).  This change is for this week only.  We are lucky enough to have been invited to a training session with the Ipswich Jets. 

Please note that Maitland Training will still go ahead at 5:30  this evening even if it is raining. Please ensure that you bring  your permission and medical forms with you this evening.  If the weather is to bad to train we will hold a team bonding session indoors instead.

GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS!!!!!!!! If you are interested in playing league get down to your local club. Last year the IJRL held a very successful Open Girls Competition and this year we are hoping to hold 2 comps. Under 15 and Under 18 girls. Season is due to start on the 9th March. Let’s prove to the Gold Coast and Brisbane Competition that Ipswich Is leading the way in Girls Football and get these 2 comps up and running. Again this year we will be selecting girls representative side, however this year we will have one in each age group. So you could have a chance to represent Ipswich at the Sunshine Coast later on in the year.

Come ON Girls lets show the Boys how it is done!!!!!!!

13, 14 and 15 Development training has now finished for this part of the season. We encourage all players to go back to their clubs and continue to increase the skills at club level. All development players in the 13 and 14 age groups will now be available for Representative selection. Once the Representative selection has been made at the end of March, players will be notified of when training for the Sydney tour in June will commence.

Saturday the 18th of February 2012 the IJRL launched its40th Season of Junior Football in Ipswich.  As part of the celebration the 2012 Development and representative Apparel was unveiled, with this year the inclusion of a Supporters Polo.  This polo is now available to be purchased on the order form below.

The IJRL would like to congratulate Bradley Wilson Doyle and Ritchie Lowe on their selection in the Under 16 Queensland Murri Squad.  The boys will spend a week in camp with the Indigenous and NRL All Stars next February before playing a curtain raiser against the NSW Kooris before the big game.

Ipswich's own Madonna Bowers is the 2011 One Community Women Volunteer. Madonna was announced the Women Volunteer last night at the One Community Awards in Sydney.  Congratulations Madonna on the recognition of all the years of hard work.  Your were are well deserved winner.

Congratulations to all those involved in the Under 15 Indigenous Team that participated in the Inagurual Queensland Murri Carnival.  The team did extremely well and showed that you should never count out an Ipswich Team.  Dont forget to show up at Briggs Road on Monday the 3rd October for your team photo.

The Ipswich Junior Rugby League in conjunction with the South East QLD Development Unit are holding a 2 day summit in the September holidays for girls aged 10-17 years of age.

  Please note as at the 30th June 2011, QRL introduced new Compression Garment and Wrist Band Policy.  Both these policy are available in full in the Rules and Regulations tab on this website.  The IJRL will be adhering to these new policies.

The Ipswich Junior Rugby League is calling for applications for  Under 13 and 14 Diggers Coaches and Selectors for the 2012 season.  Please apply in writing with a brief description of previous involvement in Junior Rugby Leage.

Please find the inaugural 2011 U/17 Ipswich Junior Rugby League team. This team has been selected to play a representative match against the Gold Coast.

The match will be held at 9am on Sunday 3 July 2011 as part of the QRL State Championships to be held at Briggs Road Sports Complex.

All players are required at training on Monday 13 June 2011 at 6pm at the Briggs Road Sporting Complex.
