BNZ Annual Awards Winners 2011
The Badminton New Zealand Annual Awards dinner was held at Butterfyl Creek on Saturday 19th November. The event was well attended by over 70 people who participated in a 'Fun Quiz Night' while also celebrating the acheivements of our award winners.
The 2011 Annual Award Winners are:
Administrator of the Year- Linda White (Eastland)
Volunteer of the Year - Mike Newton (Manawatu)
Junior Player of the Year- Anona Pak (North Harbour) [pictured]
Senior Player of the Year- TJ Weistra (Waikato)
Team of the Year- Waitakere Team 2 (Division 3 winners)
Coach of the Year- TJ Weistra (Waikato)
Technical Official of the Year- Greg Busch (Manawatu)
Outstanding Contribution to Badminton Ian Wyborn (North Harbour)
Badminton New Zealand would like to thank the panel of judges that had the job of assessing the nomination forms and judging the winners:
Roger Southby (BNZ Selector), Rob James (BNZ Selector), Michael Taylor (SPARC), Wayne Werder (Sport BoP), Erica Amon (Waikato IoD, Waikato Golf), Lynne Nixey (BNZ Technical Offical Convenor).
