Congratulations to Westminster School for winning the senior division and St Michael's College for winning the junior division of the Girls' High School Lacrosse Competitions.
Westminster rounded off a dominant season by winning 15-6 against a young Cabra team in their first season in this competition.
St Michael's rebounded from last week's defeat to newcomers Marymount, after a tight first half, beating them 12-8 in the junior final.
Walford defeated St Peter's Girls to claim third place in the senior division, while in the Saints' Derby in the junior division, SPGS White defeated SPGS Blue for bronze.
Many thanks to all schools for your support of the High School Competition. Thanks also to the umpires for their excellent work in their crucial roles, and to the coaches and staff who volunteered their time at trainings and match days. The standard of play for the competition has grown year on year, and hope to see continued growth in numbers and standard of school lacrosse in the years to come! If you would like to discuss with me further opportunities and pathways for lacrosse at your school, please do not hesitate to contact Luke Oswald.
Thanks also goes to Luke for organising and running the competition.
