Merve Tait Comes Home with His Sydney Club Teams

The women matched up with the MAGS college premier team who will be playing at the NZ Secondary Schools nationals, boast 5 CMBB players. This game was tight with both teams playing a fast but physical game. It was point for point but the Wildcats manage to pull away and maintain a "small buffer". MAGS kept coming back and the last quarter required a basket to draw or win the game in the last 5 seconds. In the end the Wildcats came on top and won!

The men's team played some of CMBB's under 21 team and a few "ring - ins"! This was a very "fast" game and the guards, Stacy and Shae in the CMBB team were going "coast-to-coast". It was a very physical encounter from both teams and went to the wire in the last 2 minutes. Both teams in foul trouble, but Wildcats conceded a number of fouls which sent the CMBB team to the line.

The thing about both these games they were played in the "spirit" of the game! Great job both teams and coaching staff. Unfortunately we did not get to see Merve because he was at his daughter's wedding in Hamilton!

I am sure if anyone wants to travel to Sydney and take a couple of teams, Merve would be able to accomodate you with games!
