Eligibility: Players must be under 13 as of January 1, 2013
Tournament Venues and dates: BBNZ U13 Premierships - New Plymouth July 6 - 8 (The first week of the July School Holidays) BBNZ U13 Nationals - Tauranga October 8 - 12 (The second week of the October School Holidays)
WHAT TO BRING TO ALL SESSIONS AND TRAININGS: *Your own basketball (if you have one) *Comfortable and appropriate basketball clothing and footwear *A drink bottle (which you can refill) *A training towel *A really positive, fun and hard-working attitude
WBA U13 GIRLS OPEN SESSIONS (A focus on basic footwork, dribbling, passing and shooting skills) - At the ASB Sports Centre, 72 Kemp St. Kilbirnie. * Sunday March 25th 2.00 - 3.30pm * Sunday, April 1st 12.30 – 2.00pm * Sunday April 15th 2.00 - 3.30pm (THE MIDDLE SUNDAY OF THE HOLIDAYS for those that can make it)
WBA U13 GIRLS TRIAL DATES (To select the official WBA U13 Girls' Basketball Team) * Sunday, April 29th 1.00 - 3.00pm * Sunday, May 6th 1.00 - 3.00pm
WBA U13 GIRLS' FINAL SELECTED BASKETBALL TEAM TRAININGS (To establish, reinforce and maintain key basic skills and team systems)
Once the final team has been named, trainings will be on the following dates and times at the ASB Sports Centre: *Sunday, May 13th 1.00 - 3.00pm *Sunday, May 20th 1.00 - 3.00pm *Sunday, May 27th 1.00 - 3.00pm *Queens Birthday NO PRACTICE *Sunday, June 10th 2.00 - 3.30pm *Sunday, June 17th 2.00 - 3.30pm *Sunday, June 24th 2.00 - 3.30pm *Sunday, July 1st 2.00 - 3.30pm More training days could be added depending on player and court availability. |
