Dodges Ferry to stare down the New Norfolk juggernaut

TODAY it is Dodges Ferry's turn to step into the abyss and attempt to stop the SFL's juggernaut -- New Norfolk.
New Norfolk has won eight of its first nine games by 100 points-plus, with last round's 57-point win over previously undefeated Lindisfarne as close as the Eagles have come this year.
Dodges sits in second spot, its only loss coming in a disappointing showing against Lindisfarne the week before last round's bye.
Sharks coach Danny Ling said he was under no illusions of the task facing his side.
``They've pretty much been belting everyone so obviously it will be a big challenge,'' Ling said
Ling said the Sharks learnt from the Lindisfarne loss and was looking for redemption.
``We've analysed that game, leading into it were some areas I thought we were lacking in with our intensity at training,'' he said.
``We've worked pretty hard over the last couple of weeks trying to address those problems and just get back to working hard and putting in an honest performance.''
Most of New Norfolk's star-studded side having never played on the tiny oval.
``It is a ground that is probably half as big as Boyer. It is certainly not the space they are used to at Boyer, while our guys we play their every second week,'' Ling said.
Dodges has regained livewire forward Jeremy Howe after his two-week stint with TSL club Lauderdale followed by representing the Mariners. New Norfolk is still without the SFL's leading goalkicker Adrian Burdon.
The Eagles still have three of the SFL's top 10 goalscorers in Roger Belcher (28 goals), Nathan Ross (28) and Michael Thompson (27).
Huonville travels to Lindisfarne for a rematch of last year's grand final. The Lions inflicted the Blues only defeat last season in the biggest game of all, but Huonville may struggle to repeat that performance today.
In the other matches, Kingborough makes the trip to Oatlands to meet the Central Hawks, Sorell hosts Brighton at Pembroke Park and Claremont and Triabunna clash at Triabunna.
