KINGBOROUGH'S football has improved since the opening round -- now coach Adam Henley has thrown down the challenge to find some consistency.
Perennial battlers in the Premier League, the Tigers have regained the winning feeling in the SFL this season to find themselves sitting fourth on the ladder with a 5-4 win loss record.
But all the improvements made go on the line at home today against second-placed Lindisfarne -- who have just one loss to New Norfolk against its name.
It is the start of a testing month for the Tigers, who faces Dodges Ferry (third), New Norfolk (first) and reigning Regional League premiers Huonville (fifth) in consecutive weeks.
A disappointing loss last weekend to the Central Hawks snapped a three-game winning streak.
``It has [improved since round one]. I suppose it was always going to be difficult with a new bunch of guys to gel straight away,'' Henley said yesterday
``We are just trying to get consistency in the group now. We could have been sitting on six in a row, but on Saturday we probably took it for granted and we got outplayed [by the Hawks].''
Despite the daunting task of matching it with a league powerhouse, Henley simply wants him young troops to dish it up to the Two Blues.
Jarrod Collis, Nathan Foale and Jack Philp have been regular contributors all season, but will need support if the Tigers can cause a boilover.
``We had a chat on Tuesday night, we just want to play with a bit more passion, we were probably a bit flat on Saturday.
``Whether we win or lose, we want to be having a crack.''
In other round 11 matches Claremont hosts Sorell, the Sharks head to Huonville, Brighton and the Hawks meet at Pontville and Cygnet clashes with Triabunna.
