AFL Victoria Vacancies: Female Football Development Squad
AFL Victoria is seeking coaches for the 2010 Female Football Development Squad. The Squad conducts clinics in schools throughout Melbourne, promoting female participation in Australian football.
Female Football Development Squad members deliver engaging football development clinics predominantly for female primary and secondary students in metropolitan Melbourne. Coaches are ambassadors for girls and women in Australian football and, as such, are required to represent the best interests of the game. They provide information to participants on the female football pathway and referral to participants’ local teams. Clinics within schools usually run for approximately one hour, but some programs or promotions may run up to three hours. The clinic may be a one off promotion in a single school or a six-week, all inclusive program with many schools involved.
Additional opportunities will exist to deliver Auskick and other football promotions and programs.
Full training on how to conduct a clinic will be provided for all successful applicants.
Applicants must hold a current Driver’s License and have a reliable means of transport.
Applications including a cover letter and curriculum vitae should be addressed to Chyloe Kurdas, Female Football Development Manager, via email (chyloe.kurdas@aflvic.com.au) or post (AFL Victoria, GPO Box 4337, Melbourne, VIC 3001)
Applications close at 4pm on February 1 2010
