Umpires delighted with grant
The AFL North Coast Umpiring Group are one of only 60 national recipients of the Bakers Delight Top Sports Club Grant.
The Group was drawn at random from a national pool of nominations and will be $2,500 richer as a result.
Local umpire, Scott Bellamy filled in the nomination after being encouraged by a Bakers Delight employee, and him, as well as the group were shocked to hear the news just before the Group culminated their season with their Annual Trip to Crescent Head.
No decision has been made yet on how to utilise the funds, however, it is possible it could be used towards umpire development and training technologies.
