Flames Make WABL Grand Finals
Rockingham Flames U/14 girls have fought their way into the WABL grand finals with a great team effort
to defeat Kalamunda Eastern Suns 52-40. Flames were never headed in their game with all players showing
their wares.
Next week they take on the Wanneroo Wolves and this talented team look goods to take the U/14 WABL
crown.
The U/18 (2) boys produced their best basketball to beat Coburn Cougars 56-45 and gain a place in the
grand final next week.
Once again this was a great team effort with Dadi Pal and ChrisTudor rising to the occasion delivering great
passes to team mates and stopping many opposition attacks.
Unfortunately, the U/16 Flames bowed out of grand final contention losing to East Perth Eagles 68-60 in a
closely fought final. Liam Ebert played well in the back court while Flames big men Trey Palmer, Jimmy Emonds
and McLeod Ngan-Woo tried hard for the Flames.
