AFL AT AURORA STADIUM

In 2006 the Tasmanian State Government will bring to the Tasmanian community and corporate sectors six games of live AFL Football - five games of the 2006 Toyota AFL Premiership Season matches and one Pre-season National Australia Cup game at Aurora Stadium in York Park, Launceston.
AFL Live! - Experience it in Tasmania says it all. There is nothing as exciting as a live game of football played at the top level, with superb athletes battling it out for the ultimate prize of the right to play in a Grand Final. Tasmanians are staunch supporters of their home-away-from-home teams and are now able to support the game and experience AFL Live! at Aurora Stadium.
Aurora Stadium is a top quality venue for both the players and the spectators, with facilities to rival some of the bigger grounds in Australia. Continuous development by the AFL, Launceston City Council and the Tasmanian Government has ensured that spectators have more options and improved services. This year will see an extension of the Gunns Stand to the South, providing an additional 1 800 premium seats and ten Corporate Boxes.
