This was Nat's first year of senior football after only playing U/17's for the Bulldogs last year. Former Curra Swan Jack MacDonald collected his Best & Fairest for the Bombers in the reserves after also winning the award in 2008. Jack polled an amazing 101 votes, 41 higher then the runner up. Jack was also awarded the best finals player award.

Ex Hermit Park duo Matthew Pendlington and Nick Clarke also come away with awards. Pendlington collected the Best first year player(reserves), while Clarke took away the most consistent and most improved awards for the reserves team.

All the boys were fortunate enough to play in the Grand final, after losing there first seven games of the season,  it was a remarkable effort to get to the decider from that point in the year. In the GF they met the Morningside Panthers where another Townsville Product line up!

Andrew Joyce, ex Hermit Park, had a great season playing a number of senior games and then being apart of the Morningside premiership reserves side. Ironically during Grand Final week, Andrew's coach told him that he had the job of playing on Redland midfielder Jack MacDonald!

Well done to all the boys who have taken the step to improve there football and move to Brisbane to have a crack at State league Football. All of the players above have been apart of the Townsville Eagles Development squads and have progressed through to the Country Kookaburras representative teams as well.
