WIDE BAY U18s DOMINATE COUNTRY SOUTH SELECTION Wide Bay U18s played off against the Darling Downs U18s in a new format to select players for the Country South Team. 12 players (and an emergency) qualified for the team which will play against North and Central in Rockhampton for the final selection of the State Country Kookaburra's. INJURY RAVAGED TIGERS GO DOWN IN ROCKHAMPTON The Wide Bay Tigers Representative team journeyed to Rockhampton to play a carnival against Capricornia and Mackay. BUNDABERG HOSTS THE 14S KOOKABURRAS ATW was the host for the Southern State Country U14 Carnival over the June long weekend. The Carnival was split this year with a Northern division playing at Cairns. Whilst the Wide Bay side used it as a learning curve against good opposition, four locals made the enviable step up to Kookaburra status. more -->
STATE U16 CHAMPS STARTED TODAY Whilst it was a poor start on the scoreboard for the Kookaburras (Jake Nagy, Hayden Thick, Jock Oates) and the Colts (Greg Knox), our guys all performed well. Both Knox and Thick made the best players and reports on Nagy and Oats were all positive. Results are in the NEWS section and I will add the other two rounds as soon as they are available. more -->
WIDE BAY KEEPS PRODUCING KOOKABURRA'S The U16 Wide Bay side round out a suuccessful carnival with selections in the State Country side. The Kookaburra's selection saw Hayden Thick, Jock Oates and Jake Nagy make the side. ATWBundy Eagle called up for QLD Country Kookas Ryan Patterson from Across The Waves Bundaberg AFC Eagles has been called into the U/18 Country Queensland Kookaburra Squad as a result of changes made following the Kookaburras mixed results of a win against the Western Taipans on Feb 23 and the a loss to the South East Bushrangers on Feb 26 during the first leg of the U/18 Queensland Development Championships. more -->
