Terence Erasito, Chairman of FASANOC’s Sports and Environment Commission, is currently representing Fiji at the XII FINA World Masters Swimming Championships. The Championships are being held in Goteborg, Sweden from 30 July -07 August.
Over 6,700 swimmers representing 74 countries from around the world have registered to participate in the various events that include individual and relays in the pool, diving, synchronized swimming, water polo and open water events. Terence will be competing in pool events plus the Open Water Swim consisting of a 3klm swim in Lake Delsjoin around an island.
He has had training sessions in both the pool and around the island. The Championships commence with the Diving events from 27-31 July and the official Opening Ceremony on 30 July at the Valhalla Sport Stadium. The pool events will be held from 31 July until 06 August with the Open Water Swim on Saturday 07 August.
