Introducing Premier League 2015

Basketball SA’s leading basketball competition for South Australia's elite men's and women's teams will enter a new era in 2015, starting with a new name. The ‘Premier League’, formerly the Central ABL, will have a unique and interesting fixture, aimed to create alternative opportunities for people to attend games. These changes come as a result of a competition review including feedback received from the league’s clubs.

Changes include an increase from 18 to 22 rounds, games on Wednesday nights, increased Sunday timeslots and multiple games at the state’s best venue, the Adelaide Arena. With the league’s name changing several times in recent years, the newly branded Premier League is set to provide a clear identity for years to come and in 2015, will feature more games, greater variety, special rounds including ‘Anzac Day Round’ and a ‘Sunday blockbuster’ hosting 10 games in one day, all assisting to create greater coverage and improve the profile of the league.
