Bounce-a-thon for Ron

The echo of a constantly bouncing basketball will reverberate around YMCA's Newtown facilty on May 4.

In support of local basketball identity Ron Dawson, a Bounce-a-thon is beig held to help raise money to find a cure for brain cancer.

Ron is suffering from the disease in which 1600 Australians are diagnosed each year and 1200 die.

Starting at 11am and concluding at 3pm, participants pay $20 to bounce a ball for as long as they wish.

Those taking part will receive a showbag, while there will also be a free sausage sizzle.

That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand.
