Sarah Monck - Competitions Manager
After nearly 10 years with Ballarat Basketball Association, including the last four as Competitions Manager, Sarah Monck has made the move to Geelong and will take on the role of Competitions and Participation Manager with Basketball Geelong.
Monck has an extensive history in the game, having played five years with Ballarat’s SEABL women’s team, coached at VJBL level and assistant coached at a SEABL Level, and will bring a wealth of knowledge to the organisation.
“We are delighted to have Sarah on board,” Basketball Geelong CEO Dean Anglin said.
“The calibre of candidates for the role was exceptionally high and to be able to employ someone with such experience will make the transition so much smoother".
Basketball Geelong has been without a Competitions and Participation Manager for nearly a month following the departure of Liam Costello in the middle of March.
With the GBL Championship Season just around the corner the appointment and commencement of Sarah could not be better timed.
She will begin in the role on Tuesday, April 8.
