Round 14 Player of the Week - QBL Women - Traci Edwards

The Caboolture Suns’ Traci Edwards is named the QBL Player of the Week for back-to-back weeks after a hard hitting Round 14 performance.  Edwards shows real versatility on the floor and this can be seen by her ultra high ranking in five stat’s criteria from the current season –

Average points – 24.25ppg (ranked 6th in the League); Average rebounds – 10.53rpg (ranked 9th in the League); Field Goal % - 59.5% (ranked 2nd in the League); Free Throw % - 80.9% (ranked 4th in the League); Blocks – 1.08bpg (ranked 7th in the League).

On the super tough road-double in central QLD over the weekend, Edwards led from the front to see the Suns split their games.  Facing a stacked and Championship-worthy Gladstone Power team on Saturday night, Edwards registered the 2nd highest score within the League this year – 45pts @ 65%, 17rbs, 2asts, 1stl to keep the team very competitive but unfortunately they came up short (94-103).  Then on Sunday afternoon facing a quality Bundaberg Bears team, Edwards once again top scored for the Suns – 28pts @ her most efficient all season of 81% plus 5rbs to see the team collect the win (98-66) which now has them confirmed as hosts of a Quarter Final.  Traci Edwards is named the Player of the Week in Round 14 of the QBL.  Click here to view her QBL playing history.
