McDonalds Sideline Challenge for Primary Schools

The McDonalds Sideline Challenge is an event designed for primary schools to attend.

This is a fun filled day where primary schools nominate teams of 10 students to participate.

The students at the Sideline Challenge  always have a fun day. The objective of the day is for all kids to participate. What makes the sideline challenge such a success over a long period of time is that every child touches the ball. No one is left out, which can happen in other team sports.

When the ball is taken in defence, the defensive team must throw the ball to the sideline so the other team members standing on the sideline all touch the ball as it moves from defence to offence. The ball is then thrown into the forward half  of the court to try to score. Therefore the kids not on the court still have a role to play in the team.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
