Island Bay United Success at NZ Football Awards

Island Bay United Success at NZ Football Awards
1 June 2012

Last night NZ Football held their annual awards night at Sky City Hamilton, where a number of national footballing accomplishments were celebrated.

This year, for the first time, the outstanding achievements and contributions by volunteers and clubs at a community level throughout the country were also honoured, with the introduction of NZ Football’s Community and Development Awards.

Capital Football are pleased to announce that Island Bay United AFC have won the Commercial Partnership Award for their role in the partnership between Island Bay, Wellington City Council and Capital Football in the development of the artificial turfs at Wakefield Park.

This award is for a club that has demonstrated best practice in the sourcing, negotiating, leveraging, and servicing of a partnership with a commercial organisation.

This is a fantastic achievement and we would like to congratulate Island Bay United.

That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
