Aqua Shop Triathlon this Sunday

ARE YOU READY TO RACE THIS WEEKEND!!!

The Aqua Shop Triathlon is on this Sunday 1st February at the Warringah Triathlon Club course at North head. 

We will be running a long course and short course triathlon as well as the new regular club duathlon – specially for any  non swimmers out there.

SHORT COURSE: 375m swim, 2.7km run, 15km ride, 3km run.

LONG COURSE: 750m swim, 2.7km run, 20km ride, 5km run.

DUATHLON: 2.7km, 20km ride, 5km run – the duathlon will start on the beach at Collins Beach

Please remember that we DO NOT have right of way on the cycle course.  Cars may be on the course and they are allowed to be there.  Please show courtesy to any drivers on the course even if they don’t reciprocate. 

Transition and rego, at the far end car park of North Head Scenic Road, opens at 5.45am, with the race starting at 6.30am sharp.  To get to the swim start we need to leave transition by 6:10am – so arrive early and register early.  A number of members are doing the Cole Classic after the club race so we want to start right on time.

Remember to take your shoes to the swim start for the run up the snake

After your tough race, remember to stay for the POST RACE BREAKY sponsored by Organic Food Network and a tasty BARBEQUE sponsored by Precision Automotive as well as the presentation with lucky draw.  The presentation and lucky draw will start at 8.30am sharp so be sure to hang around.

To speed up the registration process we are asking members to pre register where possible.  Send an email to tim.scott@jackmorton.com.au with your name and the course you are doing.  On race morning go to the pre registered line to have your name crossed off and pay the entry fee.  We'll also give you your race number at the same time.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – if you can volunteer on the day for any job please drop me an email.  We need marshalls and timekeepers in particular.   If you’re a new member and not sure about racing come up and volunteer and meet your fellow members.
