STATEMENT FROM THE GREAT PUBLIC SCHOOLS’ ASSOCIATION OF QUEENSLAND

“Today the GPS Headmasters met for their regular quarterly meeting at which a range of matters was discussed including the diversity of programs offered in both sporting and cultural activities.

As part of the Association’s commitment to providing quality co-curricular opportunities for students enrolled in our schools, it was unanimously agreed that a review be undertaken of the cultural and sporting programs conducted by the Association.

The Association continues to take seriously feedback from all stakeholders, including recently expressed concerns regarding participation in some GPS competitions.

The Association looks forward to communicating with parents and members of the school community upon the completion of the review”.
