Central West players have made a successful transition from the Northern Heat to the Western Pioneers Talent Zone attending the first of two trials at Wright Reserve Quakers Hill on Monday.
Nine players in total made the journey over the mountains to take part in trial matches for both U15's and U16's. These players were:
U15's:
- Ben Phillips (Bathurst)
- Kieran Ball (Bathurst)
- Colin Whitchurch (Bathurst)
U16's:
- Innes Smith (Bathurst)
- Corey Williams (Dubbo)
- Mitch Haley (Dubbo)
- Ben Bunt (Dubbo)
- Jayden Phillips (Orange)
- Jake Hannus (Orange)
Mitch McCormack from Cowra (injured) and Daniel Whitehead from Orange (unavailable) did not trial. However, Daniel will be available for the second trial match.
Players will return to Quakers Hill for the second of the trial matches on Monday March 15 from 5.30pm.
Successful players will play in the Western Pioneers Squad at the State Zone Championships to be held at Riverview in April.
