ROAD TO SOFIA - A Goanna meets the Minister for Sport
Goannas representative Sam Cartledge recently met Senator the Honourable Kate Lundy, Minister for Sport, Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Minister Assisting for Industry and Innovation in Canberra.
The meeting was part of an Active Deak Kids launch organised by Deaf Sports Australia - a great initiative encouraging deaf and hard of hearing children to participate in various sports and get a taste of the action.
The pair discussed the upcoming Deaflympics in Sofia, Bulgaria at which Sam will be participating in basketball. She expressed her good wishes and best of luck for the team.
