Hockey Has Two Finalists At Sport Canterbury's 2009 Canterbury Sports Awards

Craig Gribble (Outstanding Official category) and Tim Shannahan (Outstanding Administrator category) are hockey's finalists at Sport Canterbury's 2009 Canterbury Sports Awards. 

Six nominations were submitted from hockey as determined by the CHA Awards Committee, with the other nominations being:

Brad Shaw - Outstanding Sportsperson

Bridget Blackwood - Outstanding Junior Sportsperson

Chris Leslie - Outstanding Coach

Canterbury Senior Women - Outstanding Sports Team 

This year marks the first where Sport Canterbury are delivering a single awards for all sports, as opposed to a separate winter and summer sports awards.

The Awards function is scheduled for Friday, November 6 with tickets obtainable from the Canterbury Hockey Assn. office.  Tickets cost $80 and need to be ordered by Friday, October 30.
