2008 Exhibition Game: SADB Combined Men's Team vs UniSA
SADB took on UniSA Div 3-4 Men's team in an exhibition game at Kensington Leisure Centre. The game played wednesday 5 Nov 08, was held at the current training venue for UniSA.
The game was a marvellous opportunity for two teams who would never otherwise directly compete to participate in friendly rivalry.
The game was especially important for several new players; Travis Day, Paul Templeman and Scott Benyon who wore the SADB uniform for the first time.
Captain Andrew Jaunutis battled brilliantly in absence of unavailable centres Justin Kelly and Dave Thomas, against a very well led UniSA team.
Andrew Barca and Ben Gemo led scoring for UniSA, captained by smooth ball handler Cliff Tswai.
Despite SADB leading every quarter, the game was eventually won by UniSA 60-65 in a thriller.
SADB wish UniSA's teams well in their BasketballSA seasons.
