FINALS - Ballam Park

Finals games for 2009 were held at Ballam Park, home of the Karingal Bulls.

Full details of the finals structure and arrangements are below.

As I write (Monday 31 Aug.'09) the F&DJFL Executive would like to thank all involved at Karingal for their fully professional approach and coverage of all elements involved in a 'successful finals series'. Remembering that this is totally Volunteer based, we appreciate the time and effort donated by all involved. A great finals series!!!

Admission Charge = $4 per Adult, per day.

 Fixtures & Results hold the detail of finals matches. Simply select the Division; Results; then the Finals option available on screen.

Finals Teams – Please Note : FDJFL supply, for all finals matches, Field, Boundary and Goal Umpires (and their cards), along with the Match Football. The League shall also arrange for Match Day Checklist to be completed. The team shall be responsible for the correct attire of all players and officials, and ensuring that the league regulations are met. Teams shall be required to supply Interchange Steward (and interchange card) for all finals matches. A number of reminder items follow, extracted directly from F&DJFL Regulations.

Tie

Should a tie take place in any of the Finals Series Matches, two extra five-minute sessions will be played. Teams will kick the same way as they did in the Final Quarter, with teams changing ends at the conclusion of the first session. Teams are not to be addressed by the Coach from the completion of the Forth Quarter until the end of the extra time period. Should a tie still eventuate, play will continue until the next score is recorded.

Spectators

Spectators and supporters will be excluded from the playing surface at the quarter time, half time and three quarter time breaks, along with a period of time from the completion of the match as deemed appropriate by the league officials in control of the match.

Eligibility

No player will play in any Finals Match unless they take the field as a player in a minimum of five (5) official weekly matches conducted by the League during the current playing Season for the team they represent in the finals that year.

Coaches Box

The only officials permitted within fenced area and in the marked coach’s area are as follows: All interchange players; One (1) Trainer; Coach; Team Manager; Runner.

Trainers

There may be up to two (2) trainers/water carriers of which only one Trainer / Water Carrier is permitted in the coach’s box, unless an injured player is being attended to, the other trainer / water carrier must be located around the ground at least 20 meters from the coaches area.

Ground Marshal

Each team shall supply two (2) Ground Marshalls for their finals match.

Vests

A reminder that each Official wearing a 'vest' is to have the Club clearly identified on that vest.

Leggings

Players who wear bicycle or lycra support shorts must have them the same colour as their football shorts, if this is impractical, natural or neutral coloured support shorts must be worn.

Clothing

Players wearing clothing beneath their registered jumper must match the color of the jumper.

Gloves

The wearing of Gloves is not permitted in any League game without supporting medical evidence. Upon supplying Medical evidence to the League Administrator a supporting letter will be supplied to the club to be produced to verify permission as requested.
