GOULBURN VALLEY FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The GVFL was established in 1893.

Current Clubs of the Goulburn Valley Football League are:

Benalla Saints, Echuca Murray Bombers, Euroa Magpies , Kyabram Bombers, Mansfield Eagles, Mooroopna Cats, Rochester Tigers, Seymour Lions, Shepparton Bears, Shepparton Swans, Shepparton United Demons & Tatura Bulldogs

Congratulations to the Mansfield Football / Netball Club who have now won their 2nd Senior Premiership flag since joining the G.V.F.L. in 1998.  The Eagles defeated the young gallant Kyabram side 16.12 (108) to 13.9 (87) before a very respectful crowd at Deakin Reserve, Shepparton on Sunday 27th September despite it being very cold and with strong wind. 

What an absolute fantastic turn-around by the Tatura Reserves who won the wooden spoon in 2008 to be Premiers in 2009 by defeating Seymour 9.12 (66) to 7.12 (54) and kicked their winning goals into the very strong wind.  A fantastic effort Bulldogs - Well Done. 

The Kyabram Third XVlll's have won their  10th GVFL Under 18 Premeirship flag by defeating their near neighbours Echuca in an absoulte nail-biter, winning by just one solitary behind, 12.7 (79) to 11.12 (78).  Well Done to Mansfield, Tatura and Kyabram - You are THE 2009 PREMIERS !!!!
