The Bendigo Bank Maryborough Castlemaine District Football Netball League held their Junior Best & Fairest vote counts at the Baringhup Community Hall on Wednesday evening with approximately 300 people in attendance.
A very exciting evening resulted in Brandon McRedmond from the Talbot FNC winning the Under 17 Football award on the last vote of the night. Brandon won the award from Carisbrookâs Nick Wright who was leading going into the final vote card of the round only to see Brandon deny him the Best & Fairest award with the last vote of the night.

The 17 & Under netball award was won by Olivia Collicoat of the Carisbrook Football Netball Club winning by five votes from Ash Coghlan of Avoca and Demcy Gibbs of Dunolly.
Olivia is an agile and talented player who usually plays in a centre court position. Olivia shows great talent early in her career and has been promoted to Carisbrook's A grade side this year. Olivia's talents include speed, good ball skills, and the ability to read play to gain timely intercepts for her team. Olivia has a high work rate on the court and her determination could never be questioned. Olivia was a member of the 17+U Representative squad this year and is a very worthy recipient of the league's top honour.

The 15 & Under netball award was won by Eliza Fitzpatrick of the Campbells Creek Football Netball Club winning with the last vote of the night overtaking Simone Mitchell of Newstead who finished Runner Up by 2 votes.
Eliza is an agile and talented player who can play in a centre court position or goals. Eliza and her Campbells Creek team have had a stunning debut into the leagues 15+Under competition this year heading into this week's final undefeated. Eliza plays a big part in her team's success being a solid contributor for 4 quarters. Eliza is a very worthy recipient of the league's top honour.
