Saturday 25th May the Netball Wellington Centre shall be holding a Gold Coin Day to help raise funds for the Centre's Under 15s representative teams for the 2013 season. Members of the Under 15 teams shall be posted at entry points to the Kilbirnie ASB Sports Centre and wander around the court area to gratefully accept any gold coins you are able to spare.

The U15 Black and U15 Gold Teams have been named ahead of their first tournament. The Marjorie Jenden Rep Tournament will be hosted by Coastlands Netball Kapiti this year and is held over Queens Birthday Weekend from 1st to 3rd June 2013 in Paraparaumu.
We wish both teams all the very best for their first tournament outing and welcome all to come and show your support!

Register to attend our upcoming beginner coach workshop on Tuesday 21 May from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the Hataitai Netball Pavilion. Cost: $12.50 per person. This workshop is an interactive learning experience aimed at coaches of intermediate, college and lower club level teams. A great refresher to those returning to coach as well as a kick-start for newbies! Registrations close Monday 20th May.

Umpire skorts are now available to order for the 2013 season. Please email info@netballwellington.co.nz with your name, skort size and phone number if you wish to place an order. Skorts cost $35 each and orders can take around one week for delivery.

ANZ is right behind the game - and those people who make netball what it is. That’s why ANZ is awarding a total of $100,000 in grants to help schools, clubs, teams and fans with whatever they need get more from the game this season. Grants will be awarded in four rounds from March to June - to apply simply visit www.anzcourtside.co.nz.

NetballSmart resources are available to all players, coaches and umpires free of charge and may be requested at any stage throughout the year. Congratulations to all three Wellington East Diehards teams who took part in the recent NZ Masters Games netball competition in Wanganui from 7th - 10th February. Many of the players are regular competitors at the Games and this year the 45+ Wellington East Diehards won gold, 40+ Wellington East Diehards Juniors won bronze and the 30+ Wellington East Diehards Toddlers won silver. Well done to all!
