Ever wondered what a V8 Supercar driver likes and dislikes? Not surprisingly, the guys who live in the fast lane aren't too different to those of us who sit trackside watching them fly around the track, though, it must be said they still have some interesting patterns amongst their daily routine.
Let's go behind the scenes and find out what makes TD tick!
"What makes me tick?," asks Tony D'Alberto laughing. "Yep, that's a good question," he responds with a smile.
At 23-years of age the Bottle-O Racing Team driver isn't too dissimilar in his likes and dislikes to those around him, however it's his strict routine that stands out from the pack.
"I love routine," he says with a grin, adding, "I dislike people being late, myself included, so I'm very focused on planning, scheduling and sticking to it.
"I like keeping fit, which really is a key factor in being able to compete at the top level of V8 Supercars. You need to be sharp, alert and very fit."
When it comes to food, TD has a soft spot for tuna.
"Tuna! Haha, yep anything with tuna. Tuna paddies, tuna pasta, it's all good. I also like sushi. Maybe I just have a soft spot for seafood."
Having always been a motorsport nut and a fan of anything that goes fast, TD is living the dream, but he knows it comes with big responsibilities and a strong work ethic.
"I'Âm dedicated to my family and team. At times I wear my heart on my sleeve, but I'm passionate and try and get the best out of myself at anything I do," he says with a determined look.
"ÂCompeting is about being committed and determined, but also appreciating those around you who support you through the good times and the tough times. That's what makes a strong team."
Away from the track, TD spends plenty of time with fiance Steffanie, their pet Pug dog and, when possible, sleep is always on the agenda.
"Yeah, I must admit that sleeping is something I enjoy," TD says with a grin, adding, "The body appreciates rest and sleep is the perfect cure."
TD rates Italy as his favourite holiday destination, any movie with Will Farrel in it as a "must see", a good glass of Canadian Club and Dry as a relaxing drink and a Jet Ski as a "must get."
"Yeah, I wouldn't mind a Jet Ski. I'm not sure what I'll find under the Christmas tree this year, but if anyone is looking for a hint then a Jet Ski could be a good place to start."
