Three practice sessions bought around mixed results for The Bottle-O Commodore.
'We tried a few different setups today. The car was pretty good in the end, we didnt put a second set of tyres on and alot of drivers did. We now have another set of green tyres for qualifying and the races which will give us an advantage. Im confident we can qualify well for race one.' Tony commented.
The heat of the track reached 47 degrees, and the in cabin temperature of the car an extreme 60 degrees as the Darwin sun shone brightly.
'It was really hot in the car. It will be physically and mentally draining in the races'.
All the times in practice were exceptionally close. After the second session the 30 car field were all within 1 second of each other. At the end of the sessions #55 was in the mid 20s and eager for qualifying and race one tomorrow!
Qualifying begins at 11am tomorrow where you will see what the green machine is capable of.
